The vast majority of food for your pet will come from the orchard, or from produce you can purchase outside the Bone Fortress. Only three meats find use in feeding pets: animal, bug, and lizard. All other meats have no use, so do not waste time feeding them to your pet.
Can you feed monster pets in Legend of Mana?
In Legend of Mana, you’ll be able to bring along a monster pet as one of your companions in your adventures (even if their AI is not very good). These pets have their respective stats, growths, and Synchro effects to say the least, and you do have the option to feed them to buff them up to actually be useful.
How do you get the Forbidden ring in Legend of Mana?
The method is that you will equip the forbidden ring from Daena in the early part of the game and bring your pet out to battle. Your pet would gain the crystal level as your main character gets them. For those who have just started to play Legend of Mana, please do not lose your forbidden ring!!!
What should I Feed my Pets?
Only three meats find use in feeding pets: animal, bug, and lizard. All other meats have no use, so do not waste time feeding them to your pet. The maximum for any stat is 99 and so is the maximum level for your pets. Based on each pet’s growth per level, you will need to adjust what you feed them to maximize their effectiveness.

Legend of Mana - Pet Raising
One of the best parts of Legend of Mana is raising your own pet to help you out in combat. This page discusses raising pets, increasing their stats and changing personalities through feeding, and how each individual pet changes as it levels. Head to the Monsters – Eggs and Drops page to learn about where to find different pets.
Leveling Your Pet
The best way to level up your pet is to bring it into combat with you. Pets can pick up experience crystals just like you, so try to position felled enemies into place where your pets can grab up all the crystals. You can also use an experience sharing ring, such as the Forbidden Ring, to help raise your pets.
Pet Stats and Defense
Just like your player character, pets have different statistics in their menus that influence how they perform in combat.
Pet Personalities
Food can trigger certain personalities for your pets that influence how they behave on the battlefield. Try to pick a personality for your pet that best fits their strengths and weaknesses. Personalities may be a bit bugged in the game, so not all produce may actually work.
Feeding Pets
You should feed your pet every time it levels up. If a pet has food in its box when it levels up, the food will be removed and the pet will gain stats depending on what it ate. The vast majority of food for your pet will come from the orchard, or from produce you can purchase outside the Bone Fortress.
Can you increase your pet's attack value?
You can increase the stats on your pet and your character to max or nearly max (especially with stat-boosting equipment), but your pet's attack value can't be increased through a diet. So, while you have a 250 or higher attack weapon, your pet is still stuck with, at most, 88 attack.
Can you use 999 attack weapons in Minecraft?
Yes, but a 999 attack weapon isn't any fun to play with. Dragging along your favorite pet adds charm to the game, and having him save your butt when you go up against no future mode dragons at the Mana Tree with a pillow (Topple Cotton 2H Sword)? Priceless. Or something like that.
