Horned lizards are very difficult to keep in captivity. Can you find out where she was caught? If you really want her to live a long time its probably best to release her at her capture site.

Many highly skilled keepers will tell you horned lizards are not easy... You are both addicted to harvester ants, do you have a ready supply? Many ants that are common will be rejected, they need harvesters. They tend to like the black ones much more than the stinging red ones by the way...

LET IT GO! I've heard about some success with a Mexican species. I think Ron Tremper may be the one workin with em. Not sure but you may check that out. I would'nt dream of attempting the others.

Apparently my friend caught the lizard in Alamosa, CO. That is way too far of a drive to release her. If it was closer to where I live, I would not have an issue. But I am 250 miles away..... She does readily drink water when I offer it...which is every day. Thank you VICtort for your response. That was very helpful.

Speaking from what I've seen (and it's been minimal), I knew a pet store owner who successfully maintained Texas horned lizards for many years (not for sale) in part by keeping the UV bulb mere inches above the lizards' heads.
